December in Toronto is short on daylight and long on office parties. If your team wants something more than a sit-down dinner and a speech from the boss, a karaoke machine rental turns a boardroom, a restaurant back room or a rented hall into the part of the night people are still talking about in January. Here is how to plan it without turning yourself into a full-time event planner.
Book the date before you book anything else

Event Superstar adds two wireless microphones, deluxe party lights and an 80-inch projector. Pick it when the crowd is closer to 40, when the room is long (a hall, an open office floor), or when you want singers to wander into the crowd instead of standing by the speaker.

Quotes, invoices and PO numbers
Most Toronto offices cannot put a party on someone's personal credit card. Request a formal quote on the event quote page, approve it by email, and pay by invoice through a secure link. A PO number can be added to the invoice, and no deposit is required on quote bookings. If you would rather pay right away, online booking takes Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
No host needed: how the night actually runs
There is no DJ or host with the rental, and you do not need one. Guests search the library from their own phones and add songs to the queue. The screen shows who is up next. Between songs you can play your own playlist from a phone through the speaker; the cables and adapters are included. On delivery day the driver carries everything in, connects it, runs a sound test and shows one or two people how the queue works. That is the whole training.
A simple run-of-show
- Delivery in the afternoon window (1 pm to 5 pm), with the driver confirming a time the week of the party.
- Dinner or cocktails with a playlist running through the speaker.
- Speeches and awards, on the wireless mic if you have Event Superstar.
- A manager or two open the karaoke with a safe crowd-pleaser. Once the bosses have sung badly, everyone else relaxes.
- Open queue until the room closes. Pickup the next day at the arranged time, so nobody has to pack anything up at midnight.
